In The Light

I made a turn
down a dark street,
and when I came out
I dripped shadows,
like raindrops,
everywhere I stepped.

I rolled in the light
like a dog in dry grass,
I just wanted it off of me.

The sun eventually
dried my demeanor, thankfully
the trail of black spots
disappeared.

You have made the shadow a palpable presence as well as an emotional reaction element (I love my shadow on sunny days). Good one Pat!

Shadow is so palpable that it isdifficult to shake it off at times. You said it all here rather well.

Your poetic adventures are usually twisted. This one is no different but in a different way. Well done!
