Echoes in the ashes,
flutter from my ears and nose.

Memories, gasping for crystal air,
flee the grasp of a stumbling tongue.

Niggling ghosts of nothing,
naked in a fading sun.

I love the delicacy of these images...
And happy 60th, you are far from being in the state you picture here so eloquently--not fooling me for a minute!
WE get better and riper, not faded and dry...
of course naked sounds interesting--
