All Weather Wear

Today, I’ll wear
a starched shirt of sun,
trousers of pressed trees,
and shoes of tasseled grass.

Later, let rain
trickle over my ears,
like long silver hair
under a broad gray hat.

Providing for my worldly needs has taken precedence over writing and visiting blogs. I apologize for not getting around, but next week I should be back to normal, hopefully.

Ok, I get the shoes and shirt, but the pants have me scratching my head. I hope you've been having fun and getting away some this past week.

sounds like a fine outfit pat
(though when it comes to long silver hair i'm kinda biased) :)

you have my sympathy on worldly needs taking over - i have a similar spell coming up

Take care of your earthly needs and put some clothes on! It's the law!

I like the image you have portrayed here.
It would make a wonderful painting.

That 2nd stanza is cool!

And Pat, we are going away anywhere. You be back when you can.

Sweet!! I give you a lot of credit for producing this adorable opus...
I sure know the feeling of being overwhelmed with tasks...and posting once a week is still quite a respectable achievement!

Good one Pat...loved your imagery. Worldly needs took over here too as in finding a new place to live.

I fertilized the lawn before I went on vacation and it rained everyday I was gone....I now have waves of green.....very lovely.....but someone is going to have green tassled shoes, and it ain't going to be me.....I am now resting.....haha

Been away myself, Pat, as you know. Every now and then, life's demands must be acknowledged.

This perfect little poem put our heads in the clouds and that is exactly where we want them. Thanks my old friend for that.

Brilliant!

Me too Pat course work in my case all writing but to deep to post and too consuming to leave much energy. Love this particularly though. A keeper I think for English weather.
