The Other "f" Word

Flummox is a word
I really like.
Seldom use it, hardly
ever hear it used.
It beats the other “f” word
we hear all the time.
I admit I throw it around
like a tongue-axe, sometimes
to split a guy’s head open, but
mostly out of bad habit.
I think I’ll start telling folks
to flummox off,
get flummoxed, or
no flummoxing way!
Watch their expression go
from gut-cutting anger
to complete perplexity,
scratching their head
as they walk away.

Have you met Mompoet, kazooist?

Here is a poem she wrote but notice the phrase on the sideblog.

What a word! Reminds me of the phrase ‘go knit youself a piece of cake’. Much shorter, though. Great word economy at work!

Thanks pat, I'm one of the rare ones who never find use for the "f" word, however, what the flummox! I'm going to stop flummoxing around and get down to some flummoxing business with this one though!
Love it!

Speaking of words, I have to apologize for changing my blog format on you just as you gave me 'words' for my story. Forgive me. I'm going to sneak them into my poems perhaps.
Thanks for your visits.

Thought you were going somewhere different w/ this, so I was reading it aloud to Aaron, well by the end of it I was laughing and he was grinning ear to ear..don't think it was for his age group...but he understood it just fine, and found it quite amusing.
