It’s amazing what we see
when we look in the mirror.
I see a good looking
fifty (something) year old,
with a relatively svelte (beer belly) figure,
sporting a healthy (thinning) head of hair,
tinged (snowbound) with white.
I had a friend tell me
what she saw in the mirror, and
I told her it lied!

Good mirror, I might be able to use this one..., but I won't. I like what you do, though, mirrors included.
Very amusing...Especially, the "svelte" part...Personally the older you get, the more handsome you look.
this is entertaining. i like your writing. hope you don't mind if i link you.
How long did it take you to type this with your chubby little fingers, Pat? And before the PAT PAULK FAN CLUB starts sending me hate mail, it was a JOKE, and Pat BEGS for jokes. As he says, "No publicity is bad publicity, so Aurora, please insult me daily on my blog". :)
this is so much fun!
Borut, you're welcome to use mine. It speaks the truth.
Mandy are you saying your father is not "svelte"?
Ruthanne, I have linked you also. Thanks.
AA, maybe you should tell them what I really ask you for on a daily basis!
Polona, sorry I didn't scroll down far enough with my "chubby" little fingers. Thank you! I really enjoy reading your haiku every morning!
Reflections don't always tell the truth, especially when the human heart sees what it wants to see. Great poem, Pat.
I've given up mirrors - mine are all warped (have to be to look like I do) :)
You manage to pack so much content and humor into these little gems. I really enjoyed this.
just like looking over my own shoulder :)
Nick, guess we're all guilty, thanks.
Andrew, I use a double extra wide. See more of me, than I want to see.
Boulies, thanks for your kind words!
Floots, always!
I think you do yourself justice! I only ever look in the mirror from waist up, the rest has gone to pot!
This is hilarious! It's reminds me of when I ask my hubby if I look fat and he says: "of course not!" Heh. The truth comes out in parenthesis!
Mirror? You still look into mirrors? You're braver than I am lol. This one made me smile.
