Miller Time

Friday again,
my favorite day of the week.
The day I go to the lake,
grab a half dozen, or so,
bottles of Miller Lite
around skinny forty degree necks,
watch the brown glass sweat
as I drain their chilled-out lives
down the stressed-out throat of mine.

That sounds like a great way to wind down at the end of a hectic week. :)

Well outside of your beer choice ( although a thousand years ago Miller Lite was mine...) I believe you have the right idea! This made me smile.
Thank you!

Enjoy!

Wow! Crazy, the cycle of life and death - how sometimes to live, you must drain the life of something else. Glad to know that in this instance it is just beer!

By the way, I'm glad you've been posting the audio as well, it definitely inhances the poem; hearing it as it should be read.

Room for one more? And stock a cooler or two :D Some time at the lake sounds wonderful.

You make cheap beer sound good! I like the poem, their 40 degree necks, draining their chilled out lives and your stressed out throat (You been yelling?)
