No String's

“Itsy-bitsy” turned 60 today,
bombs are littered like candy wrappers,
the weatherman promises
rain after six o’clock, and
super mosquitoes
prowl Greek tenements,
blood-junky gangs looting a fix.
Headlines are diet food
for those watching
their propaganda levels.
A new world champion
ate 53 3/4 hot dogs in twelve minutes,
sixth straight title,
bare buns, no strings.

Heeeeeeees BACK......

53 hotdogs more than I eat in a year....

Who is itsy bitsy? Well I guess I could Google couldn't I.....

Rain, yeh Rain, I was downtown at the local Jittery Joe's and it came down in buckets.........got home and everything was dry. I guess it just rained over downtown.

Glad you are back

I just realized I have used up another keyboard. Every so often I have to buy a new one, I burn out the keys, just like a tailpipe on a car I guess.....varoooooooooooom

I hears that the guy that ate the hot-dogs weighs 160! I'm much bigger than that, but I could only eat 3 last night... I need practise, I guess. :)

I watched the news on the Japanese guy who won the hotdog title. Mere watching of eating competitions gives me mental indigestion. Imagine how strained and bursting-at-the-seams this chap's stomach will be.

ack!

Thanks for stopping by today.
A poet!
I also write poetry, but only when I'm angry, unfortunately. Otherwise I am quite uninspired. I am linking to you for a weekly poetry dose :)

This is great!

The mixture of the kinds of news that we receive at one sitting is a good reason to become 'sick' of it.

I try to watch my intake.

Dear Pat, I'm linking you from my blog. Hope you're cool with that. Makes it much easier for me to refer my buddies to your writings :)

Thank you for dropping by my blog. It is a pleasure to meet you. I will be sure to bookmark your blog, and be back to visit. I love you poetry. I write a bit, but my poetry is the immature rhyming jingly type ... a lot of fun, but that's about it. There are a few littered throughout my main blog Varieties Of Life. Hope you are having a great day. Take care, Meow
