Focus

My reflection wobbles
up and down
the dark sides of the cup I’m holding;
features fade in and out,
as I sip the bitterness of coffee.
The question that comes to mind is,
am I coming into focus,
or slowly disappearing?

OMG, I had written something similar. How some feelings are eternal...

ah yes, on the upward climb or on the decent, that is how I read this......and where is that middle ground. If I am living it and it is all downhill from here, I wish I could take off the skates......

honestly as i read this, it's all i could think of was my depression...the comings and goings, the ups and downs, the bitter taste, the need for a taste of sweet honey, sticky sweet honey to hold me together...maybe i should just write my own poem..

Either way drink it and live it fully!

Enjoyed... every man's (& woman's) quandary (although for some it would be over a cup of tea).

A misty rumination! ... and when you're only halfway up you're neither up nor down ... ;-)

(You edited that fifth line?)

The beauty of caffeine is, you can be pretty sure you're coming into focus.
