Storms approach from the west promising colder days to come. Today, I head south to demand payment for work two months past, a light rain starting to fall.
Pat, Just read "Garden in a Weed" Really love it and much food for thought in those few short lines. Also, I hope you collected what was owed to you. You found a beautiful way to express something quite grounded and necessary in the real world of the everyday.
Hi Pat Just stopping by to say "Hi" I have been missing your poetry. Thanks for your visits and kind words while I was away from blogging....I appreciate it. I hope to be back to posting on Sunday. I enjoyed this poem as I do all of your poems. Take care and have a great weekend!
2009! 57 years ago in April I was a 2# squealing baby boy. Got a wonderful tan in an incubator. Made friends with plastic tubing, needles and tape. All of which I have zero recollection. I've been well watered and fertilized over the years, and grown quite ripe. Plastic tubing, needles and tape are catalysts for flashbacks without the buzz. Enjoy!

Hope it's a good trip.
colder days indeed, it sure puts a damper on a good mood when someone owes you money and won't pay. grrrrrr
nothing like having people pay you - good luck, if that's really going on.
The cold is here! We went from the 60's to the 20's in one day. :(
Evocative Pat! It really sets a mood.
Hope the clouds recede soon. They receded here. It was raining like mad here.
very effective mood.
you must be the storm cloud heading south. :)
That's winter for you.
Happy Valentines Day Pat! ... and happy trails south as you collect your due.
Good Luck and here is to finding the pot of gold under the rainbow!
o.k., it's been enough -- did you get the money?
