Pending

Storms approach from the west
promising colder days to come.
Today, I head south to demand
payment for work two months past,
a light rain starting to fall.

I hope for you that all the conditions in this poem are temporary--
Wish you success in your quest...
and better weather!

colder days indeed, it sure puts a damper on a good mood when someone owes you money and won't pay. grrrrrr

nothing like having people pay you - good luck, if that's really going on.
The cold is here! We went from the 60's to the 20's in one day. :(

Pat, Just read "Garden in a Weed" Really love it and much food for thought in those few short lines. Also, I hope you collected what was owed to you. You found a beautiful way to express something quite grounded and necessary in the real world of the everyday.

Hi Pat
Just stopping by to say "Hi"
I have been missing your poetry.
Thanks for your visits and kind words while I was away from blogging....I appreciate it.
I hope to be back to posting on Sunday.
I enjoyed this poem as I do all of your poems.
Take care and have a great weekend!

Hopefully you were paid! Missed you the past couple days, even even poets need time to "construct."

A matter-of-fact tone, is what I like in this one, not to mention the undertones!:)
