School Of Thoughts

My thoughts,
swimming like a school of porgies—
jumping, darting,
crinkle up the placid surface
of the first low tide of the day.

I love the title of this piece and how you kept it short

good images as always--low tide means mud--but also the time for oysters and floundering.

Thank you Kai!!

Russell, or real low. Thanks!!

Floots I can't speak for your flexibility, but mine left along time ago. Thanks!!

Porgies. They're a salt water bait fish that school and when being chased really rip through the surface of the water.

Thanks Janice!!

Polona, Thank you. I think I'm missing the pivot.

Thanks Katie!!

Thanks UB!!

Gracie, I guess it's a normal human condition. Thanks!!

Thanks Margie, just speaking the truth.

Borut, my thoughts are too unruly to school.

Thanks Trinitystar!!

Thanks Corey!!

Pris, I'm not sure I do. Thank you!!

Thanks Lyrically Speaking!! I do better with shorter pieces.

Sage, growing up on the coast of Georgia, know exactly what you're talking about. Thanks!!

Now that I know what a porgie is... I like this. I think I've seen porgies in action, or at least something like them, and it's an apt comparison.

MB, I like what you thought it was better.

A corgie/porpoise mix? ... not to mention there's something called a dogfish!

I'm glad our thoughts don't have to go to school, mine mostly used to lurk in the playground outside. I think there mabe another poem their if I can borrow the title Pat?

Love this: are porgies a type of fish then?

The imagery makes me homesick. LOL, I could almost smell low tide. Very nice Pat
