Honey

I love honey
in whatever form it comes:
a sweet, slow-mo waterfall
raising the level in a glass pool
of smoke-the-tongue barbeque sauce;
a word whispered in my ear
drizzling dreams on unglazed thoughts
from a ladle of sterling lips.

Honey, Honey, Honey,
It's good for your tummy...

A little rhymne I've often used with my daughter. As for honey in Barbeque sauce, not in eastern North Carolina!

this has a wonderful underlying sensuality
(or maybe that's just my mind) :)

My friend and I are going on a roadtrip that will take us around the Atlanta area. Last summer I drove through the beautiful State of Georgia and fell in love with the red dirt. So I dragging my friend along with me to see it too! Last year I also hiked the AT at Woody Gap up in the Blue Ridge in GA. Great country!!

I feel the same about honey -- I try, though, to not think about where it comes from :)

This is as smooth as honey! Lovely Pat! I'm trying to work my way back to the land of Blog. I've missed reading the short but fully loaded messages in your poetry. And you're right about honey, as a food and as an expression of love.

Yeah, y'all love the mustard flavor. That ain't bad neither.

Floots, more likely my intent.

Blue Bellied Yank, Georgia is a beautiful State, of course I'm prejudiced. Red clay is fine until it gets wet and you have to work in it. Thanks for coming by!!
