What We Hear

I asked my cat
if I’d fed the fish.
She replied, no
I hadn’t fed her a fish.

Just like a cat!

That's exactly what cats do so well; make themselves the center of everyone's world. Haha. I LOVE this.
I have two cats who are expert manipulators. I have to read this to them.

This poem reminds me of a French poems that goes like this...The fish is in the cat, the cat is in the fish bowl.

That's great!
Actually, it makes me think of Groucho Marx for some reason.

Time flies like an arrow.
Fruit flies like a banana.

I love this so much! It makes me think of what must be going on inside the little(big) minds of my three manipulative kittys. I'm going to share with the other cat lovers in my family. Thank You!

Ps. Loved your poem "Laughing Ghosts" Didn't leave a comment then but I have to let you know now. Plus your voice is as I expected it to be... and that's meant to be a compliment. I'll soon go back and listen to some of the other poems you've recorded.
